[This is the second time she's woken up somewhere new and she's not any less pissed off about it.]

No clue. Glad it's not just me though.

I'm getting real tired of this. Wish whatever's doing this would just show its face so I can kick its ass already.

[She's pretty sure she can do that. Probably.]

Or reason with it. I'd like to know the why.

[There's a brief frown on her face. It's nothing to do with him, just this weird feeling of being watched she can't place. But she shrugs it off for now. Everything about this place is weird, so she's not going to put too much stock into the creepy feelings she gets from using the shard until she has to.]

Saves time if you don't split them. You can always tell them you'll stop if they start talking.

Some people will say anything, including whatever they think you want to hear. Without a baseline on what's normal around here, running on information gained under duress? Not smart.

[Maybe these weird feelings are normal for this place, who knows? But so far there doesn't seem to be a way to confirm that.]

[She did not think about that. But instead of admitting that, she's just going to double down here.]

Maybe when most people do it, sure. But when a Knight of the Round Table wants answers, they get them.

Bucky, for his part, just shrugs.]

[As for that title? Those were only stories, Arthur and Merlin and all of that. But if she wants to pretend she's out of some Arthurian legend, who is he to stop her?]

I don't care if it cares. I'm the one who cares. Thanks for not making a big fucking deal about it though.

[Except she's kind of sulking now. Figures the one person she actually slips up around doesn't give a shit (because she has no idea how these shards work, so she's just assuming it's to one person). That's good! But Mordred still likes recognition even if she's trying to keep her identity under wraps.

[Bucky may be privately thinking that she seems something of a train wreck, but he's definitely keeping that to himself.]

I was hoping there'd be a clue in those boxes, but...

[But she has no idea if there is because she hasn't worked out the puzzle yet.]

[Her grumpiness almost makes Bucky look downright cheerful. Now isn't that scary?]

But even if there was, is it trustworthy? I can't say that I trust anything about this place.

[arrogator]

After that shit with the water and this, I trust that it's going to fucking start shit until someone teaches whoever's behind things otherwise.

And your plans for so doing? A frontal assault against an enemy we don't even know?

Maybe? I don't fucking know. Depends on whatever it is.

[She's pretty good at just storming in and trying to kick whatever's ass. It hasn't gone too badly for her outside of Camelot, and that was kind of a draw. She's not going to bring that up though.]

Sometimes that works, okay? Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Seems to me finding that out should be a little more a priority.

[If Bucky looks like he's considering that for a moment, maybe it's because he is.]

The kind where you don't see me, you just see a body count left behind.

[Which is surprisingly easy to admit to a stranger, actually.]

An assassin then?

[Surprisingly, there's not a lot of judging in her voice.]

I guess that's cool and all. You can get a lot done that way, it's just not my style.

[She wants all the glory and renown and all that, and you don't get that sneaking around killing people. Or apparently you do since there's an Assassin class for Servants, but that's not really how Mordred sees it.]

[The lack of judgement is a relief, actually, both because he doesn't want to talk about his life and because there honestly are more important things to consider.]

It makes me wonder about what other skills people here have. It might be a clue to why we were brought here.

[And the tactical part of his mind is already spinning ahead, considering. What commonalities do they have? Is it because of their skill sets somehow being complementary? And if so, to what end? Why are they here?]

[arrogator]

I haven't seen anything that looks like a clue. A guy who can fly, a guy with a jetpack, some girl who's pretty damn normal, some others, and now an assassin.

[It's all random to her.]

If you can spot a trend there, you're better at this than me.

[It's a rare admission from her, but she knows she's not the best at these things.]

Let's see... [He's got a notebook in his stuff and Bucky leans to the side to pull it out and open to a fresh page.] Flight, jetpack's also flight, you an' me can fight, I guess Peter's in that group too...

[The so-called normal girl might be the outlier, but Bucky isn't entirely ruling her out. After all, he'd been trying for the appearance of being normal initially; maybe she's having more luck. Or maybe she really just is normal.]

This could be a stretch, but it kind of looks like the kind of team you'd put together for a kind of strike force. Special ops. Might explain why we were brought here but if so — why? What's the mission, and for whom?

[Of course, he could be entirely off the mark, but trying to talk it out might help figure out other angles on it. It's not like they have many clues to work off of, after all.]

[arrogator]

[She'll think about it, and just go with the first thing that comes to mind for the Knight of Treachery.]

Only thing that makes sense to me is to take that castle. Wouldn't answer the who or why though.

[The castle hasn't escaped his attention; he doesn't think anyone has failed to notice it — or to notice how there appears to be no way to it.]

It might though. We might find some answers there.

[They might also find more than that — and more than they bargained for.]

Yeah, if we figure out how to get there.

[Because she has no idea how to deal with that fog.]
